As a spiritual director, it is my privilege to companion people as they reflect on the spiritual dimension of their lives. 

The primary relationship in the room is between you and God, One-ness, Love, or whatever your language for the transcendent is. I desire to serve that relationship through deep listening, open questions and creative enquiry. I won’t tell you what to think or believe. Rather we look and listen together for the ‘sound of the genuine’ within your own soul and the holy invitations that are present in the midst of your ordinary life.

Creating a slow, safe, brave space for you.
In spiritual direction conversations I seek to create safe space: through loving respect, deep listening and ethical practice, slow space: by honouring silence, pauses and spacious reflection and brave space by inviting the real you to show up with the hopes, questions, doubts and desires you may be hesitant to voice in other contexts.

My faith/spiritual background.
I am personally anchored within the contemplative tradition of Christian spirituality. I have deep Christ-roots and I have an affinity with the mystic expressions of all faith traditions. I honour the holy wherever I find it. I am comfortable working with people of faith and with those who consider themselves spiritual but not religious. I seek to listen for the way the Sacred shows up in your life.

Training and experience
I completed SGM two year Spiritual Director’s Formation Programme in 2018 and am a full member of the Association of Christian Spiritual Directors. You can view my ACSD profile here. I receive regular professional supervision and personal spiritual direction.

Spiritual Direction format:  Monthly one-hour conversations via Zoom. I offer face to face conversations in Tauranga.

Payment: $85 (GST inc) per session. Payment contributes to supervision, professional development and living costs. Please contact me if you feel drawn to participating in regular spiritual direction and financial hardship is a barrier. I can offer subsidised rates for a small number of directees.
